Vaccination Clinics
Vaccination Clinics
POP-UP VACCINATION sites are running all over the Waikato.
In some clinics we are offering MMR vaccinations for 3-plus for measles, mumps and rubella. - Get your tamariki aged 5 to 11 years vaccinated - look for all the vaccination sites offering the vaccines for tamariki. In some clinics we are also offering all Well Child vaccinations, visit www.immunise.health.nz for more information.
If you just want to come for a chat, that's all good too. No pressure to be vaccinated - our mobile health experts are also there to help with your pātai.
You can also be vaccinated at a range of other locations across Waikato, including GPs and pharmacies. See Healthpoint for those options.
You can get a first booster if you:
- are aged 16 or over
- have completed your primary course of the vaccine (for most people, this is 2 doses).
If you are aged 16 or 17, you can get a Pfizer booster 6 months after your last dose.
If you are 18 or over, you can get a Pfizer booster 3 months after your last dose, or a Novavax booster 6 months after your last dose.
- Second boosters are now available for everyone aged 50+, and Māori and Pacific peoples aged 40 and over, and for priority groups including health workers aged 30+, and people aged 16+ with a disability or health condition that increases the risk of severe illness with COVID-19.
If you have had COVID-19, it's recommended that most people wait 3 months after testing positive before getting any COVID-19 vaccination.
People can book an appointment online at www.bookmyvaccine.nz or call 0800 28 29 26 (8am to 8pm, 7 days a week).
