Breast Care Centre

The Breast Care Centre is located on the Waiora Waikato Hospital Campus, Hamilton.  You can access by vehicle via Hague Road off Pembroke Street.

Follow the signs to the Breast Care Centre, which is a one-storey white building on the right hand side.

Regional Renal Centre

Regional Renal Centre is located in a stand-alone building on Ryburn Lane, one of the internal roads on the Waiora Waikato Hospital Campus, in Hamilton. There is patient-only parking directly outside.

Sexual Health Clinic

Waikato Sexual Health Clinic is located in a house on Ohaupo Road, Hamilton. There is limited parking outside, and it is near to several bus routes.

Women's Assessment Unit

Women's Assessment Unit (WAU) is on Level B2 of Elizabeth Rothwell Building at Waikato Hospital. Refer to the Waiora Waikato Hospital Campus Map. This is the main entrance to Elizabeth Rothwell Building off Pembroke Street. There is a drive-through drop-off lane.

The Elizabeth Rothwell Building is on several bus routes and close to bus stops.

Video appointment

Video appointments are a way to deliver healthcare without requiring a patient to travel to hospital.

These involve a remote video call between a Waikato DHB specialist and patient who are in different locations. The platform we use is called Microsoft Teams which is similar to Skype or Zoom.

Video appointments come under the umbrella term of 'Telehealth' which can also include consults by phone.

If you have an immediate concern about your treatment or care, or the care of a family member, tell us. Many problems can be resolved quickly by talking things over. Speak to a staff member or ask to speak to a manager e.g. charge nurse, clinical nurse leader or team leader in the department, clinic or ward. If they are not available, ask to speak to the duty manager.
