Services we provide
Social workers are trained to respond to people's emotional, psychosocial and practical needs. We advocate on your behalf to ensure your rights, responsibilities and entitlements are respected.
We provide services across a wide range of areas, including:
- counselling and support for personal, family, adjustment, loss and other health-related issues
- planning for coming home from hospital
- information on health and community services
- crisis intervention
- referral to other support agencies
- privately funded convalescent care
- transport for people with health problems
- legal services
- home help
- funding for things such as gardening assistance, meal preparation or medical expenses
- private nursing
- additional financial services including support accessing assistance from Work and Income.
